The plant is low-growing, reaching a height of 10–15 cm. It forms a neat, dense mat of succulent leaves, suitable for landscape use in rock gardens, borders, and containers.

The flowers of an intense violet-purple color are considered the largest among known representatives of the genus. The flowering period is long, continuing from late spring or early summer to early autumn.

The variety possesses high resistance to drought and heat, and is undemanding in care provided that good drainage is ensured.
