The variety belongs to the Dianthus × allwoodii hybrid group, obtained by crossing Dianthus plumarius and Dianthus caryophyllus. The plant forms a compact cushion-shaped bush approximately 30 cm tall with narrow linear leaves of a grayish-blue or glaucous-green shade.

The flowers of the variety are double, velvety, and characterized by a pronounced spicy fragrance. The variety is distinguished by a long flowering period, covering the entire summer, and high frost resistance. It prefers growing in sunny areas with well-drained, slightly alkaline soils.
