The variety is a compact perennial plant with glaucous evergreen foliage. The flowers are double, colored in red-white tones, sometimes described as white with purple or magenta speckles. The plant height is approximately 20–30 cm.

The plant prefers sunny sites and well-drained soils. It possesses resistance to Verticillium wilt and is frost-hardy, corresponding to USDA zones 5a–9b. It is used as an ornamental garden plant in containers, borders, and for floral arrangements.
