The Valda Kitty variety features double deep ruby-red flowers with a diameter of 4.5–5 cm. The plant has glaucous green narrow foliage and forms compact, neat clumps 30–45 cm in height.

The variety is repeat-flowering; with timely deadheading, flowering continues throughout the summer period. It is characterized by high resistance to leaf spot, powdery mildew, and root rot; winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 5–8. The variety is capable of initiating flower buds without a vernalization period.
