The plant has a compact cushion-like growth habit, reaching 18–28 cm in height at maturity. The foliage is colored gray-blue or glaucous-green.

The flowers are semi-double, salmon-pink with a contrasting carmine eye, and possess a strong spicy fragrance. Flowering is prolonged, covering the period from spring to autumn.

The variety is drought-tolerant and winter-hardy (USDA zones 5–9). It is used in ornamental gardening for borders, container cultivation, and creating small bouquets.
