The variety Baranna, also known by the trade name Soana, is a mutation of the variety Barlo. The plant belongs to the perpetual flowering carnation group.

The flowers are double, approximately 97 mm in diameter, including 60-80 petals and about 10 petaloids. The color is pale pink, petal edges are smooth, and the fragrance is weak. The foliage is gray-green in hue, and the stems are about 0.6 cm thick.

The variety is intended for commercial floriculture. Historical reports noted high plant productivity, comparable to the most high-yielding varieties of its period.
