Variety description

The variety is an intergeneric hybrid obtained by crossing Digitalis purpurea and Digitalis canariensis. The plant is capable of flowering in the first year of planting and continues the process until November. Due to sterility, the hybrid does not produce viable seeds, directing resources toward the constant formation of new flower stalks.
The flowers are tubular in shape, colored bright orange with yellow spotted throats and a red tint along the edges of the petals. The variety is thermophilic, overwinters reliably in USDA zones 8–10, and in colder regions is grown as an annual or requires digging up the rhizomes for the winter. The plant is poisonous.
