The variety was obtained by crossing the Fuyu and Taishu varieties. The fruits are characterized by juicy flesh with a pleasant taste and a crispy texture; physiological disorders such as skin cracking or damage in the calyx area occur rarely.
The variety is export-oriented, and post-harvest treatment methods, including the use of 1-methylcyclopropene and modified atmosphere packaging, are being studied for it to extend shelf life and maintain quality during transportation.
