The variety is a local Spanish type cultivated primarily in the Valencian Community. Fruits of this variety belong to the PCA group, which means they are astringent at the time of maturity and require post-harvest ripening to improve taste qualities.

Currently, the variety is not a mass-market commercial object; it is being studied at scientific institutions, such as IVIA, as part of programs for the conservation of persimmon genetic resources and the analysis of post-harvest fruit characteristics.
