The variety is a plant with arching stems and panicle inflorescences that are valued in floristry. Like other members of the species, the variety is a light-loving short-day plant whose flowering is induced by a shortening of the daylight period.

In commercial floriculture, products require maintaining a temperature regime of no less than 12°C and the presence of water during storage and transport. General members of the species are sensitive to fungal diseases, which requires soil sterilization before planting.
