Euphorbia fulgens is a deciduous shrub with thin, arching stems. The Ahrku Yellow variety belongs to a series that also includes orange and white forms, and is distinguished by the yellow color of its bracts.
The plant is a short-day crop, with a flowering period that occurs in autumn and winter, approximately from September to December or February. It is cultivated primarily in greenhouse conditions.
The species is characterized by sensitivity to ethylene and high susceptibility to fungal diseases, which requires soil sterilization. The quality of the produce depends on maintaining a temperature of no less than 16°C during the winter period.
