The plant reaches a height of 50–90 cm. The leaves are gray-green, while young shoots and flower stalks have a distinct reddish hue that persists until early summer. The inflorescence-bracts appear from March to May and are greenish-yellow in color.
The variety has frost resistance down to -15...-20 °C and drought tolerance; however, it is sensitive to waterlogged soil and requires high-quality drainage. The plant's milky sap is toxic and can cause irritation to the skin and mucous membranes.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
