The Zlata variety is intended for use as functional nutrition; its grain is used for the production of flour and porridge. Distinctive features include the golden-yellow color of the flour and high antioxidant content, with the antioxidant value being preserved during processing.

The growing season of the variety is about 99 days. The crop is characterized by uneven ripening and the retention of a significant mass of greenery by the end of the growing season. The variety possesses a reduced tendency to seed shattering, reduced grain wrinkling, and increased lodging resistance, and the yield is comparable to high-yielding common buckwheat varieties.
