Variety description

The variety forms dense clumps, is not invasive, and does not produce creeping rhizomes. Stems are green; when grown in the sun, they may acquire a reddish tint. Leaves are narrow, dark green, evergreen, and have a characteristic drooping arrangement.
The plant possesses winter hardiness down to -22 °C. It is used in landscape design for creating hedges, windbreak screens, or as a specimen plant, without requiring the installation of root barriers.
