Variety description

10 August 2026

The Barbizon variety is intended exclusively for turf use and is not suitable for forage purposes. The plant possesses broad leaves characteristic of the species, while having a coarser texture and increased tiller density compared to a number of other varieties. Heading date is approximately 52 days after April 1.

The variety demonstrates good adaptability to conditions of intensive use and dry periods. Resistance assessments included resistance to diseases such as leaf spot, rust, and red thread. Research also indicates the presence of Neotyphodium endophytes in the plant, which contribute to increased viability under stress conditions.
