The variety has an erect growth habit. It is characterized by short and narrow flag leaves, as well as a low tendency to produce inflorescences in the year of sowing.

The plant is adapted to conditions of severe drought in the post-emergence period, which is typical for populations from North Africa. It is used in breeding programs as a genetic resource for developing new varieties.
