The variety is intended for use in lawn mixtures, including in areas with insufficient moisture. Plants have fine or medium-fine leaves of medium green color, short or medium-length stems, and during the heading stage are characterized by a medium growth habit and low height.

Levona forms a smaller volume of biomass and is distinguished by a good appearance after mowing. The variety belongs to the mid-season category in terms of heading time; seed ripening occurs in the second half of July.

When grown for seeds, the variety requires a good supply of nutrients and is sensitive to soil structure. Sowing is recommended with row spacing of 25–40 cm in pure stands or under a cover crop; the seed stand lifespan is 2–3 years.
