The variety is used as a forage crop. During the selection process, particular attention was paid to increasing productivity, development dynamics, disease resistance, winter hardiness, and feed quality, including digestibility and livestock palatability indices due to the formation of softer leaves.

The plant is a robust perennial bunchgrass about 1 meter tall, reaching 1.5 meters under favorable conditions. The variety possesses the high drought and heat tolerance characteristic of the species, as well as adaptability to different soil types and moisture conditions.
