The variety is classified as hard fescue (Festuca brevipila, synonym Festuca trachyphylla). The plant forms a dense sod with narrow, stiff leaves. The variety is characterized by good germination energy and rapid establishment; at optimal temperatures, seeds germinate in 7–10 days.
The plant possesses high drought tolerance, tolerates shading well, and requires significantly less nitrogen fertilizer compared to bluegrass or ryegrass. The variety is primarily used as turf grass for low-maintenance areas, as well as for land reclamation and soil erosion control.
During periods of summer stress, turf quality may temporarily decline, however, in September, the indicators recover. The variety develops better on dry, well-drained soils.
