The variety possesses high adaptability to the northern climate, which is confirmed by the results of multi-year trials. Specifically, in Finnish studies, the variety demonstrated a low percentage of winter damage and an average seed yield of 622 kg/ha.
The plant is used as a forage crop for hayfields and pastures and is often included in grass mixtures together with Phleum pratense. The variety has traditionally been used as a standard for comparison with new breeding achievements.
