The variety was created by mass selection from a wild population collected in Eastern Kazakhstan. The plants reach a height of 80–110 cm and have an erect, sparse tuft growth habit.
The variety possesses resistance to leaf diseases and a high regrowth rate after mowing or grazing. Dry matteryield reaches 13.2 t/ha; forage quality is characterized by a high carbohydrate content.
