The variety «Predix» is widely used in specialized scientific experiments. It has been used as a subject for studying processes of genetic transformation and plant regeneration from protoplasts, as well as for investigating associations of grasses with endophytic fungi Neotyphodium uncinatum and their influence on alkaloid production.
In field conditions, the variety was used in experiments on the restoration of meadow communities on drained peatlands as part of grass mixtures. The variety is included in official descriptive lists of forage grasses; however, detailed agronomic characteristics, such as plant height or maturity group, are absent in open publications.
