The variety belongs to the subspecies Festuca rubra subsp. rubra. The plant is noted for very vigorous growth, early maturity, and coarser leaves compared to other varieties. Visually, the variety is light-colored and has low shoot density.
In the autumn period, the variety enters dormancy early and shows a tendency to yellowing. Due to insufficient shoot density, it is not recommended for use on high-quality sports turf, for example, on golf courses.
The variety was originally registered as a forage variety. Due to the presence of long rhizomes, it is suitable for inclusion in grass mixtures for landscaping and vegetation restoration in challenging climatic conditions.
