The variety belongs to the subspecies Festuca rubra ssp. commutata (Chewings fescue). The plant is bunch-type and does not form long underground shoots, which ensures the formation of a dense turf and allows it to be used in lawns with a mowing height of 10 to 40 mm.
The variety possesses a pronounced fine leaf texture, which contributes to the aesthetic appearance of the cover. Within the framework of professional trials, Lykke demonstrates average to above-average resistance to fungal diseases, in particular to pink snow mold. It is characterized by good winter hardiness.
