The variety belongs to the subspecies Festuca rubra ssp. commutata or Festuca rubra ssp. trichophylla and is used for creating low turf canopies. The plant is distinguished by a low development rate and slow regrowth after mowing.
The variety underwent experimental studies on resistance to trampling and various types of loads. In agronomic publications, the variety is unequivocally classified as a turf grass.
