The variety is a non-rhizomatous subspecies that forms a semi-prostrate tuft with very fine dark green leaves. The anthocyanin coloration of the leaf sheath is characterized as weak to medium. The plant belongs to the winter type of development.

This variety is distinguished by its ability to withstand frequent and low mowing down to a height of 1 cm and possesses shade tolerance, which allows it to be used in areas under tree canopies. The plants have resistance to a number of fungal diseases.
