The variety is a form of red fescue with drooping leaves of medium length and short stems. The plants are characterized by a growth rate slightly below average and medium or late heading dates.

The variety was intended for use in lawn grass mixtures and forms a dense sward. At present, it is an archival variety and is not used as a modern commercial variety.
