The Nordic variety belongs to the fine-leaved fescue group and is used as a component of seed mixtures for creating lawns. The crop is characterized by high adaptability to various soil types, drought tolerance, and the ability to develop under shaded conditions.
The variety underwent testing for ornamental value, turf density, and stress tolerance as part of park and sports mixtures. The trade name Nordic can be used for different fescue species, therefore, to identify the plant, it is necessary to check the Latin species name on the packaging.
