Hansa is an old German variety bred by the breeder Buck in the Vierlande area near Hamburg. It is found in genetic resource registers, however, detailed modern economic characteristics and detailed morphological traits are insufficiently presented in accessible publications.
In modern commercial offers, the name Hansa often implies the variety Hansalola. The latter is characterized as a vigorous upright plant up to 35 cm tall with large bright red berries weighing up to 40–45 g, possessing high yield and disease resistance.
