The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work in 1972. In terms of fruiting type, it belongs to day-neutral forms. The berries have a symmetrical medium-conical shape and are larger in size than the fruits of the Tioga and Aiko varieties.

The plant possesses genetic resistance to Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. fragariae. The variety is homozygous for the Fw1 resistance gene, which distinguishes it from other tested samples.
