The variety belongs to late-flowering types and possesses large flowers. The outer perianth segments have a broad ovoid shape, their length reaches 2.8 cm, and width is 1.7 cm, with intense stripes visible on the green areas. The inner segments are entirely colored green and have a length of 1.4 cm. The ovary is rounded in shape, measuring up to 4 mm.

The variety was identified as a stable morphological form as a result of monitoring natural populations in Slovenia and is of value for the conservation of genetic diversity and ornamental gardening. The name of the variety is associated with the geographical area of Senožeče, where natural populations of this species grow.
