Variety description

The main distinguishing feature of the variety is that the outer perianth segments have a slight notch at the tip, a V-shaped mark, and resemble the inner segments in shape. The outer perianth segments reach 1.5 cm in length and 8 mm in width; the inner segments are approximately 2 mm shorter than the outer ones. The oval ovary is up to 4 mm long.

The plant is characterized by an upright habit and externally somewhat resembles Soldanella minima. The leaves of the variety reach 5 cm in length and up to 5 mm in width. The variety was identified during a systematic study of the natural diversity of Galanthus nivalis in Slovenia.
