The variety was obtained by mass and individual selection from populations of wild ecotypes. The plant is characterized by an early and abundant yield of green mass with a high protein content.

The variety possesses high resistance to phytopathogens and pests, and demonstrates longevity and good adaptation to the agro-climatic conditions of the region. It is used in scientific research on biomass productivity and photosynthetic activity.
