Danubian appears in the pedigrees of various soybean varieties, being one of the parental components, in particular for the Crina F variety. The common ancestor of this material is considered to be the Tewels variety.
In scientific literature, the term is often used as a collective name for genotypes originating from the Danube region, or as one of the tested breeding lines with intermediate agronomic indicators without a fixed description of specific morphological traits.
