The Viky variety (also known under the code ES-20021) is a genetic sample of Spanish origin, also mentioned in the context of breeding work in Bulgaria. In scientific programs, it is valued for its genetic distance from other varieties, which allows it to be used to expand genetic diversity.
In comparative cotton trials, the variety was analyzed according to sympodial branching indices, where it demonstrated specific numerical values. The variety is also used in UPOV documentation as a reference sample for describing the morphological characteristics of the crop.
