The plant forms a rosette of smooth, shiny, light green leaves 30 to 40 cm in length. The total height of the plant is 50–55 cm. The inflorescence is formed by bright scarlet bracts, which retain their decorative appearance for 3–6 months.
The variety adapts to conditions of moderate or diffused lighting. It requires regular watering, preferably into the central rosette, and the maintenance of high air humidity. The plant is capable of tolerating short-term interruptions in watering.
