The plant forms a rosette of elongated, glossy, pointed leaves of a rich dark green color. One of the key features of the variety is the voluminous, torch-shaped or spicate inflorescence, consisting of bright ruby-scarlet or red-purple bracts.
The plant is compact: its total height varies from 40 to 50 cm, in some cases reaching 80–100 cm, with a diameter of 50 to 75 cm. Flowering usually occurs in the period from December to February. The variety requires a temperature regime in the range of 18–24°C and high air humidity.
