The Cordoba variety is intended for use as a forage crop for livestock grazing, as well as for hay or silage production. The plant is characterized by excellent adaptability to Mediterranean conditions and marginal soils.

Research on the variety focused on achieving high protein content and improving the forage value characteristic of the species Hedysarum coronarium.
