The variety was bred from local genetic material and is intended for food production. The tubers of the Dacic variety contain inulin, iron, magnesium, and proteins, the levels of which are estimated as one of the highest among the studied genotypes. The content of soluble solids is approximately 18.25°Brix.

The plant possesses high resistance to drought, extreme temperatures, diseases, and pests. The cultivation technology involves planting on ridges in the autumn or early spring with row spacing of approximately 70 cm and a distance of 20–30 cm between plants in the row, as well as regular weeding and hilling.
