The variety is a herbaceous perennial with a dense habit, 20–30 cm tall and up to 45 cm wide. The leaves are large, deeply incised, with an ornate edge. The leaf color changes throughout the season: from spring peach-amber to summer red or burgundy, transitioning to olive tones by winter.
The flowering period lasts from June to August; the plant forms small white flowers in paniculate inflorescences on flower stalks up to 50 cm tall. The variety prefers partial shade and moderately moist, well-drained soils, and exhibits good resistance to diseases, pests, and frost down to USDA zone 4.
