Variety description

The plant forms a compact mound 20–30 cm tall. Large, broadly ovate leaves have a deeply lobed shape with a strongly wavy margin. Leaf color varies depending on the season, and the underside of the blade stands out with a bright pink or purple hue.

Small creamy-white flowers are gathered in loose paniculate inflorescences on flower stalks 35–45 cm tall. Flowering occurs from late spring to mid-summer. The variety possesses high winter hardiness (zone 4, down to −35 °C) and is resistant to lodging.

The crop prefers partial shade and requires good drainage to prevent root rot. When grown in full sun in a hot climate, regular watering is necessary to protect the foliage from scorching.
