The plant reaches a height of 60–120 cm. The leaves have 3–5 lobes with smooth edges and possess an almost black hue. The flowers are large, about 25 cm in diameter, with rounded petals.
The variety has high winter hardiness, withstanding temperature drops down to USDA zone 4. The aerial part dies back in winter and regrows in spring. The plant is resistant to leaf spot, powdery mildew, and root rot.
Flowering occurs from mid-summer to frost. Sunny locations and moist, well-drained soils, including heavy clay ones, are preferred for cultivation. Propagation is carried out by vegetative methods, such as cuttings or division of the bush.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
