Variety description

The plant is an herbaceous perennial with a woody base and a compact, well-branched upright habit, reaching a height of 0.7–1 meters. The leaves are maple-like, lobed, dark green with a glossy surface, sometimes with a purple tint.

The flowers, 20–23 cm in diameter, are pink-magenta in color with a darker reddish center and ruffled petals. Flowering continues from mid-summer until the first frosts, with each flower lasting one day.

The variety has high winter hardiness (USDA zones 4–9) and resistance to leaf spot, powdery mildew, and root rot. The plant prefers moist, organic-rich soils, tolerates conditions close to waterlogged well, and does not require staking due to its strong stems.

Propagation of the variety is carried out only by vegetative means, as it is a complex interspecific hybrid. In winter, the aerial part of the plant dies back completely and requires pruning.
