The variety is a two-row winter barley with a hulled caryopsis. In breeding, it was obtained as a result of crossing the parental forms Baraka and Mosar.

The plant has the specific feature of maintaining germination after prolonged flooding, demonstrating rates above 40% after six days of immersion in water. The variety also served as an object of study in research on lignin content in straw and was used in programs for creating new hybrids.
