The variety was obtained as a result of crossing the parental forms Baraka and Mosar. It belongs to the winter barley type with a two-row spike and hulled grain.
The variety demonstrates a relatively high ability to germinate after prolonged seed flooding. In a number of experiments, it was used as a model crop for green manure.
