The variety Apropos is a winter form of barley. Its main purpose in the period from 2009 to 2014 was its use as a control variety when evaluating the productivity of other breeding achievements within the framework of state trials in Denmark.
In the breeding process, the variety acted as a parent form. In particular, it was used in the development of the winter barley variety Frigg through the crossing scheme Apropos × (Annerose × (Himalaya × Anisette)).
