The variety is the result of crossing KWS Glacier and Padura. The plant is early-maturing and has a short stem. The grain is distinguished by good test weight.
The variety possesses complex disease resistance: it is resistant to barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV) and leaf rust. It shows moderate resistance to net blotch, and intermediate resistance to powdery mildew and scald. Resistance to lodging is rated as intermediate.
