The variety is a winter two-row barley belonging to the mid-season maturity group. It possesses good quality indicators for the malting industry, including a high extract content in malt dry matter, a Kolbach index of approximately 46.2%, and a diastatic power of 508 WK.
The plant exhibits resistance to a number of diseases, in particular to loose smut due to cleistogamy, as well as high resistance to lodging and drought conditions. In addition to its primary malting purpose, the grain can be used for feed and for the production of groats.
