The variety «Формула 1» is mid-season, with a vegetation period of 70–80 days. The plant is short, with an intermediate growth habit. The ear is yellow, lax, awns are serrated; it belongs to the nutans variety. The grain is large, the thousand kernel weight is 44–53 g, and the grain protein content is up to 11.4%.
The variety possesses high drought tolerance and moderate resistance to the frit fly. It shows resistance to loose smut, powdery mildew, and stem rust. At the same time, high susceptibility to helminthosporiosis, net blotch, and root rots is noted.
