The barley variety Hanka belongs to spring crops. Genetically, it is characterized by the presence of the leaf rust resistance gene Rph7, due to which it has been used in breeding as a parental component for the development of new varieties.

Under field research conditions, the variety demonstrated high yield. At the seedling stage, it possesses resistance to powdery mildew; however, by the time of ripening under field conditions, it may show signs of infection with this disease.
